3d MULTIMEDIA AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER

 

Balon is seeking a talented and motivated 3D and 2D designer to complement our friendly team. We are a growing consultancy, making industry safer by producing creative, effective illustrations and training for the mining industry. 

To fulfil this role you will need:

  • A passion for 3D computer aided design
  • Considerable experience in 3D modelling
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe CS3/CS4 suite
  • Exposure to Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Passion for digital media
  • Appropriate graphic design qualification
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn new software
  • Great communication skills and enthusiasm
  • Ability to grasp client objectives and to crystallise creative, functional designs to meet them
  • LightWave 3D experience is an advantage
  • Experience creating training presentations is an advantage

senior consultant - technical writer

 

Balon is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Consultant to complement our team in Western Australia. We are a growing consultancy, making industry safer by producing documentation, procedures and training and incorporating illustrations developed by our design team.

To fulfil this role you will need:

  • A Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a Science, Educational or Technical field
  • Management experience with responsibility for directing employees and maintaining safe operating systems
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • To be able to build rapport with all levels of personnel within an organisation
  • Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • The ability to write operational documents based on interviews, observations and review of existing information
  • To be able to critically review  both your own and your peers documentation so that set standards are maintained
  • The skills to interpret Government Acts and Regulations and apply them to an operational context

This role includes the requirement to travel and work within remote locations within Australia.
 
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and experience with Australian Standards, Safety Legislation or ISO Management systems is advantageous.
